Quality Pharmacist

VALIANT PHARMACY, A SPECIALIZED COMPOUNDING PHARMACY, IS LOOKING FOR A QUALITY PHARMACIST TO JOIN OUR GROWING TEAM!

Position: Full-time / Permanent 
Reports to: The Responsible Pharmacist & Quality Assurance Lead

Valiant Pharmacy CC is looking for a registered Pharmacist to help operate and maintain our quality assurance systems across all compounding activities, while assisting hands-on with compounding. You will share in the day-to-day workload of quality investigations, documentation, and supplier and product qualification, and work directly with hazardous compounds under strict safety controls.

What you'll do:

• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and deviations, perform root cause analysis, and document CAPAs through to close-out
• Assist with compounding, using aseptic technique, PPE, and closed-system transfer devices
• Keep track of assay and microbiological testing of samples, routine sterility testing (including air and surface sampling), and stability pull-points with the laboratories
• Review Certificates of Analysis and progress supplier and API qualification
• Maintain SOPs, batch records, MFRs, and the hazard/safety information package (MSDS register)
• Run QA workflows and reporting on Pharmacy Systems. 
• Prescription Validation – assisting with prescription validation, verifying that each compound request is supported by a valid and legal prescription, and requesting the prescription from the requesting healthcare professional where required.

Requirements:

• Registered Pharmacist in good standing with the Pharmacy Board of Namibia / HPCNA
• Working knowledge of the Medicines and Related Substances Control Act No. 13 of 2003, the Health Professions Act, 2024 (Act No. 16 of 2024), and other relevant legislation governing pharmacy practice in Namibia
• Willingness to work directly with hazardous and cytotoxic compounds under full PPE and safety protocols
• Strong attention to detail and comfort with structured documentation
• Prior QA experience (OOS/deviation, CAPA, supplier qualification) is advantageous
• Experience with Odoo or a similar ERP/quality system is advantageous
