Pharmacist Assistant

VALIANT PHARMACY, A SPECIALIZED COMPOUNDING PHARMACY, IS LOOKING FOR A PHARMACIST ASSISTANT TO JOIN OUR GROWING TEAM!

Position: Full-time / Permanent 
Reports to: Technical & Production Officer

Valiant Pharmacy is looking for a registered Pharmacist Assistant to support our compounding operations, working across sterile and non-sterile, hazardous and non-hazardous preparations. You will share in the day-to-day workload of compounding, administration, cleaning, and stock control, and work directly with hazardous compounds under strict safety controls.

What you'll do:

• Compound hazardous (HD) and non-hazardous preparations, both sterile and non-sterile, following SOPs and using appropriate PPE and technique
• Process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision and file compounding orders daily
• Perform daily laboratory start-up procedures and daily cleaning of work areas
• Carry out weekly equipment cleaning and participate in weekly stock takes
• Participate in monthly equipment stock takes and monthly deep cleans
• Repackage API (active pharmaceutical ingredients) and excipients
• Handle daily maintenance tasks to keep equipment and facility ready

Requirements:

• Registered Pharmacist Assistant in good standing with the Pharmacy Board of Namibia / HPCNA
• Working knowledge of the Medicines and Related Substances Control Act No. 13 of 2003, the Health Professions Act, 2024 (Act No. 16 of 2024), and other relevant legislation governing pharmacy practice in Namibia
• Willingness to work directly with hazardous and cytotoxic compounds under full PPE and safety protocols
• Strong attention to detail and discipline around cleaning, stock control, and documentation
• Comfort with routine, repetitive precision work and a genuine eagerness to compound
• Prior compounding experience is advantageous but not essential
